Federated Search

The Federated Search allows you to search for items simultaneously from a variety of sources. Advanced search queries like phrase, (e.g. "Australian animals"), boolean phrases (e.g. AND, OR) and wildcards (*, ?) are not recognised by some search sources and therefore will fail to retrieve results.

The left-hand pane below displays sources that your search won't access, whereas the right-hand pane shows those search sources that will be queried.

Move search sources from one pane to the other by clicking on their name and then a single-arrow button to move one item type at a time. You can also move all the search sources at once by clicking on the double-arrow buttons.
